Elevator pitches

Many people want to become entrepreneurs but haven’t found the right idea yet. Here’s a list of suggestions, on me; bear in mind, nothing is new under the sun, so it’s very likely there is already someone out there pursuing each of these, but I promise you, I came up with all of these except one myself, and as far as I can tell, no-one has brought any of these to life at scale. In this post I’ll focus on the ideas, not the monetisation potential — you can work that out yourself!

As for why I’m not pursuing them myself,

A streaming service aggregator

For a short, brilliant period in time, I thought Netflix would become my central film & tv consumption hub. But then the market fragmented again, with everyone launching their own streaming platform.

So now, if you’re looking for something to watch, you have to launch each of your streaming providers in separate tabs. I propose a platform that consolidates the offerings of every service to which you’re subscribed in one place. The service also learns from your preferences across all providers, and therefore makes better recommendations.
